Yellows guides school bus inspectors through all checks and tests required by any State. Yellows mirrors paper forms such as the FORM 2018-IF set in place since 1994. Inspection are performed digitally with precision, then stored, safeguarded and archived to the secured Cloud database.
Some new, useful features created in Yellows are the ability to take unlimited pictures and videos of deficiencies on each item. We log time spent on each item, and, enable the inspector take at least one photo in each category, to ascertain they performed the inspection, and moved around the bus. Yellow presents a selection of predetermined words to assist inspectors with commonly used terms to describe deficiencies. Inspectors have the ability to write comments to identify a problem while performing the inspection. Inspections are monitored by the administration office of each district.
Yellows MSI Inspection Management Interface allows Inspectors to view inspections after they have been signed and submitted via MSI Mobile App. The digital interface exactly replicates the State mandated Paper Form used by all inspectors. This makes viewing and managing inspections remarkably simple. All data gathered by the Mobile App is presented in a clean, organized & familiar manner. Inspectors are able to view pictures and videos taken by the Mobile App. Deficiencies are circled in red. Any comments or problems are presented.
WORKFLOW
The system is designed with a simple workflow – In Progress & Completed.
1) Inspections are submitted to the Secured Cloud via MSI Mobile App.
2) Inspections are queued and archived in 2 categories:
a. In Progress
i. These inspections have deficiencies. Techs must fix the deficiencies and initial the digital form. Only after all deficiencies have been initialed can the Service Manager sign the MSI digital form and return the bus to service.
b. Completed
i. Completed inspections are secured & archived. The system always shows today’s completed inspections. Techs and Service Managers have ability to search for buses from an earlier date and view all the data.
